A lot of you may have a Snake Plant in your home! It makes a wonderful house plant… especially one with many magickal uses!
The Snake Plant is native to western Africa. It requires really little care and can last many years!
It has been adapted in many cultures world-wide for its many spiritual benefits!
In Feng Shui, the tips of the leaves protect against negative energy especially from entering the home. They are considered lucky and enhance productivity and positive energy.
In Afro-Caribbean culture, Snake Plants help prevent and protect against slander and gossip! Placing Snake Plants near the doorway will prevent visitors of the home or business from speaking ill.
The plant with the yellow border is used for women while the plant without the border is used for men.
If someone has been speaking ill of you, you can write their name on a piece of paper and bury it in the pot of the plant.
Here is another spell you can do with the leaves of the Snake Plant:
✨Spell to Stop Slander and Gossip✨
What you will need:
1 Leaf (one with yellow border if person is a woman or without if they are a man)
1 Pen
Red Palm Oil
Black String
Red or White String (Red if you want to send back or white if you want to release to the universe [for Light Path workers])
Needles
1 Black Candle
1 Red or White Candle (Red if you want to send back or white if you want to release to the universe [for Light Path workers])
On the leaf, you will write the person’s name. The leaf represents the person’s tongue.
You will add red palm oil across the leaf so that they trip on their words whenever they speak of you.
Roll the leaf as if you are rolling their tongue.
Secure in place with a needle or two.
You will start wrapping with the black string. The black string symbolizes all the negativity they have caused through their slander and gossip.
Once it is covered, begin to wrap with the red string (or white). State your intention whether you want to return the damage and hurt or release.
Once you are done, place in a dish and light the candles asking your ancestors, spirits, and/or deity of choice to assist with your working.
You can keep and light candles weekly until desired outcome is obtained.
When you are ready to discard, place in a black bag and leave in a place you don’t visit often (forest, crossroads, etc…)
