Our October Community Ancestor Altar: A Place for Their Names

There are people whose names we still say with love. A grandmother who held the family together. A father whose advice stays with us. A relative we never had the chance to meet, but whose life helped make ours possible.

This October, we have created a Community Ancestor Altar at Touch of Magick as a place to honor them. Surrounded by candlelight, flowers, gold details, and treasured photographs, the altar is a shared space for remembrance throughout the month.

As the Veil Thins

We opened this month with our Ancestor Blessing for Prosperity & Abundance with Alain & Mimi on October 4. The altar will remain with us through October, giving our community time to pause, remember, and give thanks to those who came before us.

You are welcome to participate from wherever you are. You do not need to visit the shop to have a loved one remembered.

Leave an ancestor’s name

On our Ancestor Altar page, you can send us the name of a relative or loved one, along with an optional memory or dedication. Please write each name exactly as you would like it to appear.

Our team will write the submitted names on white-and-gold cards and place them in the gold container on the physical altar. These cards will remain through our closing ceremony. Adding a name is free. Names are received by our team and added by hand; they are not posted on a public online wall.

Bring an offering or help keep the light burning

If you visit, you are welcome to bring flowers, fruit, or a photograph in remembrance. Please speak with our team before placing offerings, and let us know if a photograph needs to be returned to you.

For those who feel called to contribute, optional donations help us provide candles, flowers, shared offerings, and care for the altar throughout October. You can include an ancestor’s name with your donation, or simply support this space for the community. Every contribution is appreciated, and a donation is never required to have a loved one remembered.

Closing the month with gratitude

On October 31, 2026, we will perform a special closing ceremony to give thanks, release, and send our love as we close the month together. The names placed on the altar will be included in this closing remembrance.

We will share the ceremony’s time and participation details separately through our Touch of Magick Community.

May their names be remembered. May our love reach them.
