The Spanish Naipes are much more than a deck of cards. They are a symbolic language capable of revealing the patterns, lessons, opportunities, challenges, and possibilities unfolding throughout a person’s life.

In Spanish Naipes 101, I will share the reading tradition I have developed through years of professional practice, thousands of readings, and a lifetime immersed in spiritual traditions.

While rooted in the traditional symbolism of the Spanish Barajas, my approach places an equally important emphasis on intuition, observation, card combinations, and learning to recognize how the cards naturally communicate with one another.

This is not a course centered on memorizing definitions.

It is a course about learning how to read.

The cards are like words in a language. Individually, each carries meaning. Together, they begin to form sentences, conversations, and eventually complete stories.

As readers, our role is not simply to predict events. We become interpreters of the story appearing before us—helping others understand what has shaped their circumstances, what is unfolding around them, and where their current path may be leading.

No previous experience with card reading is necessary.

In-person enrollment is intentionally limited to allow for more individualized instruction, hands-on practice, and personal feedback.

Live Online: Attend the same class in real time via Zoom from anywhere.

The course is taught primarily in English. Traditional Spanish card names, terminology, and expressions will be introduced throughout the course, but you do not need to speak Spanish to participate.

• The meanings of the cards within Oros, Copas, Bastos & Espadas
• How meanings change through combinations and surrounding cards
• How a person’s circumstances and stage of life influence interpretation
• How to perform and interpret the traditional full-deck spread
• How to recognize patterns instead of reading cards mechanically
• How to connect individual cards into complete narratives
• How to approach timing, direction, and movement within a spread
• How to conduct confident and meaningful readings for others

 

✦ Learning to Let the Cards Speak

One of the defining principles of my reading method is understanding that every reading develops its own rhythm.

Most readings naturally unfold from left to right—but not all do.

Sometimes a spread divides itself between past and future. At other times, the upper portion reveals the foundation of a situation while the lower portion shows what is developing from it.

Throughout my years of reading, I have even encountered spreads that naturally revealed themselves from right to left.

Rather than forcing every reading into a rigid formula, I will teach you how to observe these movements, recognize patterns, trust your intuition, and follow the story the cards are choosing to tell.

This is where knowing card meanings begins to transform into actually reading the Naipes.

Week 1 — Foundations, Philosophy & The Traditional Spread

Understanding the Naipes, the reader’s role, ethics, preparing for a reading, and introducing the traditional spread.

Week 2 — Coins • Oros

Week 3 — Cups • Copas

Week 4 — Wands • Bastos

Week 5 — Swords • Espadas

Week 6 — Card Combinations I

Learning how individual meanings change when cards begin interacting with one another.

Week 7 — Card Combinations II

Developing larger narratives, recognizing repeating patterns, and moving beyond individual card interpretation.

Week 8 — Guided Practice Readings

Week 9 — Advanced Practice Readings

The final portion of the course becomes increasingly hands-on. Students will practice reading, receive feedback, ask questions, and refine their individual approach.

Week 10 — Final Practice, Evaluation & Course Completion

Bringing everything together into a complete reading.

Online students attend the same class live via Zoom, allowing you to participate, ask questions, observe demonstrations, and practice alongside the class in real time.

The slightly higher online tuition helps cover shipping of your physical course materials.

Spanish Naipes 101 was designed for both complete beginners and those who already have experience with Tarot, oracle cards, mediumship, or other forms of divination but want to explore the unique language of the Spanish Barajas.
