The Spanish Naipes are much more than a deck of cards—they are a symbolic language capable of revealing the patterns, lessons, opportunities, and challenges woven throughout a person’s life.

 

In this course, I will share the reading tradition I have developed through years of professional practice, thousands of readings, and a lifetime immersed in spiritual traditions. While rooted in the traditional symbolism of the Spanish Naipes, this approach emphasizes intuition, observation, and learning to recognize how the cards naturally communicate with one another.

 

This is not a course centered on memorizing definitions.

 

It is a course about learning how to read.

 

The cards are like words in a language. Individually, each carries meaning. Together, they form sentences, conversations, and complete stories. As readers, our role is not simply to predict events, but to serve as interpreters—guiding others through the landscape their cards reveal with honesty, compassion, and intuition.

 

Throughout this 10-week journey, you will learn my personal approach to reading the Spanish Naipes, including:

 

• The philosophy and ethics of reading the cards

• How to combine intuition with traditional symbolism

• The traditional 40-card system and why the 8s and 9s are removed

• The meanings of every card in Coins, Cups, Wands, and Swords

• How meanings shift depending on combinations, surrounding cards, and the consultant’s stage of life

• How to perform and interpret the traditional full-deck spread

• How to recognize energetic patterns instead of reading mechanically

• How to connect cards into complete narratives

• How to conduct confident, meaningful readings

 

One of the defining principles of my method is understanding that every reading develops its own rhythm.

 

Most readings unfold naturally from left to right, but not all do.

 

Sometimes the spread divides itself into the past on one side and the future on the other. At other times, the upper portion of the spread reveals the foundation of a situation while the lower portion reflects its unfolding. There are occasions when the energy itself directs the reading in an entirely different way. Throughout my years of reading, I have even encountered spreads that naturally flowed from right to left, revealing a different energetic current altogether.

 

Rather than forcing every reading into rigid rules, you will learn how to observe these movements, trust your intuition, and follow the story the cards are choosing to tell.

 

The final portion of the course is dedicated almost entirely to live practice. Students will read for one another, receive personalized feedback, refine their technique, and gain the confidence necessary to begin reading independently.

 

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion in Spanish Naipes 101.

 

Students who wish to continue their studies may enroll in Spanish Naipes 102, where we explore more advanced subjects, including karmic relationships, past-life influences, spiritual patterns, advanced combinations, energetic timing, and deeper layers of interpretation.

Language

 

Although the Spanish Naipes originated in Spain and many of the traditional names of the cards and techniques remain in Spanish, this course will be taught primarily in English.

 

From time to time, I will reference traditional Spanish terminology, expressions, or card names to preserve the historical and cultural roots of the system. However, every concept will be thoroughly explained in English, making the course accessible to both beginners and experienced students alike.

 

No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.

Tentatively on Thursday, August 13 for in person and Friday, August 14 for online at 7:15pm to 9:15pm.

Feel free to share preferences as we accomodate as best as possible for all who are interested prior to committing to an exact week day and/or time.

 

Space for the in-person class is intentionally limited to provide every student with meaningful practice, individualized feedback, and personal instruction.
